How long have you had them?

Since the village... there was a farm there, so I just adopted her.

She's pretty cute! Does she lay eggs or anything?

Sometimes chickens do! But you would probably know better than me. If she hasn't, I bet she won't.

...I'm actually not completely sure. I wasn't in charge of the animals back home.

Where did the two of you meet?

Oh! Back home. We were traveling through a forest and had to stop in a cave for shelter, and that's where we found his egg. He hatched not long afterwards. It's funny - until we found him, we were pretty sure they were extinct by now. It was a pretty big surprise when the egg started to crack.

Is he the last dragon then? Or is there probably more out there?

[agleam]

I think he's probably the last one. I'm guessing nobody found the nest his egg was in because it was in a really dangerous area... But if you don't train them well from when they're young, they can be really destructive and violent, so people tended to fight them when they came across them when there were a lot more.

That must be an interesting existence, to be the only one left... I'm sure you make up for it by feeding him a lot of non-chicken treats.

I will make sure that he doesn't even remember what chicken tastes like by the end of this whole thing.

[speaking of which, he's handing her back to tsuru now.]

Not a problem. I think petting a chicken is a good way to relax during times of stress.
