[and as she gets closer, she'll be able to see that he's less lizard shaped and more dragon shaped. he gives a little chirp when she gets closer.]

I promise he doesn't bite or anything, he's just really friendly. Do you want to hold him? Fair warning, if you give him enough attention he'll probably never leave you alone.

[said with a laugh]

[CUTE... She holds her a hand out, showing it to Porridge.]

Now, why in the world would I want to be left alone by such a sweet... whatever he is! [Sweetly.] What is he?

[porridge sniffs her hand, tail swishing.]

He's a dragon! And my friend.

[Would Porridge like some head scratchies in these trying times?]

Oh, so he's cool and adorable. How did you two meet?

[agleam]

I found him in a cave! We were taking shelter from a storm, and we just wandered in to find his egg... At first we thought it was fossilized, but then I noticed it was warm. It was really cool to watch him hatch!

[and terrifying, but he doesn't say that.]

You were there when he hatched? [She presses her hand to her chest, shook.] That's so sweet! You're like his little dragon daddy.
