[she wanders in to get a closer look at the painting.]
Dumbasses. [she says, affectionately.] Taako is my brother, obviously. Lucretia's really quiet, but she's got this mean streak of humor that catches you off guard. Magnus is big and brave and loud. Merle's an old coot, but he means well. Davenport is responsible and the best damn captain you could ask for.
[...] Barry's - Barry is... [hm.] Too good for us.
Yeah. I don't know, it's a whole situation, and it's not really your problem! So it's fine. We barely even know each other. [she says, waving a hand.] Um. Yeah, they're all really great. I spend a hundred years with them, so they're uh... they're more important to me than anything.
[what picture is she getting!! but he brightens up as he starts, his voice immediately growing warmer as he starts describing them.]
So we were split into groups back there based on seasons - I was on Winter for a while. Most of them were really nice! There's Adora, she's really kindhearted and a really amazing friend. Catra, too - her and Adora were from the same place, and they were together by the end. It was really sweet. Then there was Beau - she's really tough, but she could be really caring and understanding, too. She had a few friends there, Caleb and then - well, I guess a different version of Mollymauk than the one that's here. Anyways, Caleb's really smart. Crow likes to seem tough too, I think, but he really cares about everyone he calls a friend. Dimitri... Definitely seems a little rough around the edges when you first meet him, but he ended up being one of my best friends there, even though we weren't in the same place for too long. Ichiro is a really great guy, really caring and supportive. He loves his family a lot, it's really sweet. I didn't get to know Kon as well as I'd have liked to, but he was always kind to me. Leo's really smart, too - he's an inventor. He taught me a lot of really cool stuff. And - that's Winter!
I had more friends in other dorms, but those were the ones I lived with for a while.
Yeah, it was definitely him. He had the same name and looked the exact same. But - the one that's here told me to think of the one I knew as a completely different person, so I'm trying to do that.
He died in, um... A really horrible way. It's - pretty graphic, so I won't get into it, but it must have been awful to go through. A few of his friends made a deal with the people helping to run things, at least, so he got to come back from daycare earlier than the rest of us, but even with that...

What are they like?

[his expression softens, though, once she reaches the end there.]
Sorry, I... We can talk about something else if you want to.
[if it's hard for her to talk about.]

[but he doesn't want to push and make her uncomfortable, either. he does blink at the next part, though.]
A hundred years? Wow!
no subject
Oh, yeah! I mean, that's nothing for me, because elf? But we were on a ship and kind of... time looped. It's complicated.
no subject
[a beat.]
Unless the time looping was bad for some reason. Then it wasn't cool at all and I take that back immediately.
no subject
Well, kinda, but. It's fine. We fixed it.
no subject
Well, good... I'm really glad to hear that, whatever it was.

[he pauses for a moment.]
Um - I can tell you about the people in the last group I was in, if you want.
no subject
Sure, whoever you want.

Oh, that's cute, the little house teams. [...] A different version of Molly? Like, um. Like his name was still Mollymauk, right?
no subject
[it just feels really weird.]
no subject
no subject
Yeah... I definitely don't want to upset him. He, uh, the version of him I knew went through a lot already.

...You promise you won't tell him if I tell you?

[molly your head]

... Yikes. [she rubs at her arm.] That's not going to happen to him here.
no subject
Yeah. We'll do our best to keep him safe.
