Perhaps there are small things I would choose to adjust. A role here and there, a hint given in one circumstance or another, perhaps I would say or do something slightly different. Those scenarios are always interesting to imagine.
But I would not avoid the village. Not when I accomplished what I desired - and found the love of my crane.

Is that not more admirable? To have been something difficult, and to have come out the other side knowing you have thoroughly beaten it.
If such trouble is unavoidable - then I would at least like to be victorious.
