[wandering into the courtyard again today! when he sees that he isn't alone, he heads over to the tea station. there's another squint at the shadowy figures, but.]
[i want to clarify that it's about an hour after rooms open because jiji has gone through his costume change. though he will knock knock on rupert's door without much care]
[there's a short pause before he comes to open the door, stepping back.]
Do you want to come in?
[if he does, he'll see the following:
the walls and floor (pretend there's no bookcase in this picture but everything else is there,) are made of stone. somehow, it doesn't feel cold despite that, though that might be due to the warmth emanating from the fireplace. though the flames that flicker there aren't real, they still give off heat. similarly, the flames on the sources of light don't appear to be real. the rest of the light in the room comes from the window resting just above his desk, which always shows a field of wildflowers.
his bed sits on a thick rug, with more than a couple pillows resting near the headboard. A few feet away is an armoir, and a decoration on the wall (it's easy to tell the swords are not real). there's also a sofa near a bookcase. the spines of the fake books contained on the shelf seem to vary between books about history, politics, adventure novels, fairy tales, and mythology. the clock sitting on the wall makes a soft ticking noise every so often, adding to the noise of the crackling fireplace. a woven tapestry sits on the wall above the fireplace.
also, porridge is curled up and sleeping on the bed! hello tiny dragon.]
[ 2. You open a door and find yourself in an art gallery, full of paintings of people you know from your own world and from your sojourn into your previous games. They're watching you. Always watching you. The paintings appear normal, at first, but slowly shift until they depict the people you know in horrifying, traumatic situations, their eyes fixed on you accusingly. No matter where go, their eyes follow you. After what feels like an entire day in the gallery you find yourself back in the hall, disoriented and with the unshakeable sensation of being watched. Only four minutes have passed.
mikazuki enters the art gallery and glances behind him to rupert, smiling faintly though it does not reach his eyes.]
Has your heart been prepared for this exploration, Rupert?
[he looks a little surprised as he enters in, seeing all these portraits, but... since the worst of it is that the paintings all seem to be staring at him, he frowns, but doesn't appear too disturbed yet.]
presumably by now he has gotten a change of clothes and washed all the blood off because otherwise this would be gross. the wound on his arm and back are hidden by what he's wearing now, and he still has a patch of gauze pressed over his left eye socket. ew. he pauses when he sees mikazuki, though.]
...Hi.
[he sounds less pained than before, but probably more tired.]
[well that all happened. mikazuki remained silent for the rest of trial (bc i, dana, was suffering) and he is still quiet as he steps out and begins to walk.
when he sees rupert in the halls, he beckons him to come closer]
[yea mikazuki is going to take a while to appear - but when he does, he's underneath the wisteria blossoms. he's changed out of his other clothes and remains sitting - his sleeves drape over his hands and the fabric of his yukata drape over his legs, covering the damage from plain view]
[ (spins wheel) sim room! it looks like he's sitting in a field of flowers, here. he glances over when mikazuki enters, and after a moment of thought - a little blanket appears on the ground. picnic time.]
[well mikazuki is at the tea station, but the bundles of flowers are reliably nearby. he seems to be thinking of something - but when he sees rupert, he smiles]
w0, saturday.
