What happened back home... I don't want to get into the details yet, really, but - it's made it really hard to trust people when I don't know exactly how they might act when things get difficult or dangerous. But even with that, Sieghart is my friend. And the way he calmed down all of a sudden at the end there - I wonder if maybe there was something influencing him. I want to think he wouldn't have done something like that ordinarily.

[he sighs.]

Besides, it feels kind of hypocritical of me not to give him the benefit of the doubt before we know more. So - I don't really know how to feel, yet. Not until I go talk to him.

Despite this, I believe his heart is good. There is a desire for fairness that wars with his own emotion.

It is true that he did not appear on the suspect list for those whose shoes matched, and so arguably we had little reason to check those who were not on that list. But I understand that the strip search has its own precedence.

Perhaps he has his own reason for being so against it, but Harrowhark Nonagesimus presented the ultimatum: if we did not find one to vote for, we would vote for him, and he did not find himself swayed.

There was something he was willing to risk his own life for. At least, that is my impression.
