I know that this isn't going to be fair, no matter who it is. But... She's already been through way too much, and she's helped me a lot.

For what time she had here, I am sure your generosity and compassion did make a difference to her.

.... at the very least, in life and in death, there is very little that is primarily all fortune or all disaster.

The fabric of one's life is the sum of those two in balance with one another... and I shall only hope that she has found enough to cherish, and know she is cared for, to have made her time worthwhile.

Everyone goes through easier times and harder times, and - it can be hard to predict when things are going to shift in either direction. I think she's had more than her fair share of hard, though.
