[that's immediate and sincere. it takes him a moment to continue, something both warm and a little hollow in his voice.]

He... He's an amazing person. Really brave, really strong. He can be a little standoffish, but just because he isn't that outgoing doesn't mean he doesn't care about other people. Everything he's done is to try and keep the people around him safe.
