Never met a dragon this small before, how fascinating... is this "Porridge"? From the book?
[ the guess only comes from knowing his and diluc's own daemons were listed by name. and the idea that rupert came with slimy porridge in his pockets just didn't really sit right, so.
polaris doesn't seem all that worried about the dragon either, trotting over and leaning forward to sniff carefully at the dragon. his tail wags curiously as kaeya takes the room in. it's impressive that they've been able to construct such a wide variety to such unique specifications. ]
I'm impressed, this is rather nice. Are you feeling at home in your new room?
That's him, yeah! He's normally a lot bigger, but somehow he got smaller now that he's here... It doesn't seem like it hurt him at all, though, so I'm not too worried.
[porridge sniffs in return, before making a curious chirping noise. new friend!! but rupert nods as he looks around the room.]
Yeah. It feels pretty familiar... I mean, I don't really want to feel at home here, but if I have to stay somewhere for the next indeterminate amount of time, this'll work pretty well. How about you, do you like yours?
They did the same to Pol. He's... normally a bit bigger. I can't even feel the bond with him the way I used to, it's so bizarre.
[ not that it's changed anything at all. polaris will gladly entertain new dragon friend, dipping down to boop porridge gently on the head with his nose. ]
It's much more decadent than I have back home, I'll take it. Roommate isn't so bad either—that gentleman with the metal arm? Barnes?
[new friends! porridge makes a happy chirping noise. meanwhile, rupert tilts his head.]
I haven't met him yet, but I know who you mean. His arm is really cool! [...] Don't tell him I said that, though. Anyways - if he's not so bad, then I'm glad. I got Estelle, so I think I got pretty lucky.
We shared our emotions and our senses, they were extensions of our souls and as such we couldn't actually stray all that far from them before. No further than a few feet.
[ he smiles a little ] I won't breathe a word, promise. Estelle does seem rather lovely. I knew one of her friends back where we were before, by the name of Yuri.
Not the Yuri here.
... Though it is odd that they booth have purple hair.
It is a little strange though, kind of... lonely really. We spent two months like that. More if you count the time I was home. It's rather... unsettling. Not to mention, Pol used to talk too.
We found his egg in a cave, actually! We found shelter for the night there, and that's where his nest was. We were really surprised, actually, because we thought they were extinct... But the egg was warm, and it started cracking shortly after we found it. Needless to say, we were very surprised. But it turned out to be a good surprise!
Well, I was talking to him while I tried to come up with a name, and he kept making these hissing noises at me... But as soon as I said the word porridge, he stopped. So you could say that he picked it himself, in a way!
As for Dvalin... hmm, I would say he's rather benevolent now a days now that the metaphorical thorn in his paw is gone. He's even doling out rides every now and then when he's feeling charitable.

Sounds like it's a lot to get used to... I'm sorry to hear all that.
