[looking curiously at the different doors in this hallway, but he looks away and waves once he sees sieghart.]

Oh - hi! I've been meaning to talk to you.

[but unfortunately i, eli, was busy. no time like the present, though!! he gives him a grin.]

[Down the hallway, Sieghart pauses for a beat before returning the grin and closing the distance between them.]

Yeah? What do you want to talk about?

[agleam]

Oh, just... I got kind of sidetracked trying to meet a bunch of new people over the past few days, but I didn't want you to think I was avoiding you or anything! So, hi.

[he is a simple boy.]

[ercnerd]

You're as mindful as ever.

[Simple is good.]

So, what are you doing now? Have you tried the doors yet?

[agleam]

Not yet! I'm surprised by how many there are... If all of these lead to different places, it's gotta be a pretty big hotel.

[reaching for a doorknob at random.]

You wanna check this one out?

[ercnerd]

[He doesn't want to check any of them out. Alas, want and should are separate entities.]

[agleam]

[and in they go! right into a restaurant populated by shadowy figures who are going to look familiar to the both of them. wild.]

[agleam]

I think I see Otome, too... And - Caleb?

[and they all start beckoning them in.]

[agleam]

[making his way into the isolation cabin at the camp... he pauses in the doorway, looking at sieghart.]

Mind if I come in?

[ercnerd]

[Sieghart, seated on the bunk bed, looks up. He stares for a bit before leaning back, straightening.]

You don't have to ask. I told everyone I'd explain, anyway.

[agleam]

Alright.

[heading in, then.]

I've got a lot of questions, but... I'll let you start with whatever you want to say.

[ercnerd]

. . . There was a shadow.

I didn't have the will to drive it away, so my body ended up accepting it. I felt like myself . . . but weaker.

[agleam]

[he blinks.]

What do you mean, a shadow?

[ercnerd]

Exactly what it sounds like.

It happened at the start of the week. The shadow came to me with the promise that it would help keep Mari safe . . . After making its home in my body, it broke down my restraint until I ran after the first person I saw.

[agleam]

[after a decently long pause, frowning:]

...Did it tell you what it was planning on in the beginning? Or - did you not know what would happen until it was too late?

[ercnerd]

[He frowns as well.]

It just assured me of Mari's situation. There was never a point where I felt that things were too late. If anything, snapping Flayn's neck felt like the most natural course of action to me.

Week 5: Sunday

[ercnerd]

[Sieghart is still missing an arm, but he's no longer bleeding and now changed into a striped shirt with gray slacks. Faint scars trace his left jaw and right hand where they were bloodsoaked before. He seems to be staring off into space at the parlor when he blinks and angles his head toward Rupert upon the latter's entry.]

Oh, it's you. How's everything?

[agleam]

...You are so not allowed to ask me that right now.

[coming over to fuss!!]

How are you feeling?

[ercnerd]

[He has rights. He can ask questions.]

Me? I feel the same as always.

[agleam]

You're missing an arm...

[ercnerd]

It's just an arm. I still have my right.

[agleam]

Would you be saying that if literally anybody else was in the same situation? You can care a little more!

[ercnerd]

I can say that, because it's my body. Once all this is over, my arm will grow back.

[agleam]
