[she didn't know alphinaud that well, but. she frowns, and then:] I'm sorry, bud. Can I help? Let's get you cleaned up and maybe I can take a look at your head to make sure it isn't too bad.

[he nods at that, quiet, but he pauses when she mentions that, surprised.]

[she shoos him off in the direction of her room.]

[he hesitates for another moment, weighing what to say, but:]

You can ask if you want to. It's just that it's a long story, and I think it was too personal to have anything to do with what happened to Alphinaud.

Yeah. I don't remember Claude or the others mentioning a weird dream, but...

[he isn't really sure that any of them are the type to admit to something like that even if it did happen. anyways.]

I was walking through a forest, and I kept hearing this voice tell me to run, but for some reason I felt like I was just imagining it, and I had to keep calm because someone was waiting for me just ahead. Then I got... attacked by people I recognize, people who are - gone, back home. But it kind of just kept happening over and over again? They'd attack me and I'd wake up at the start of the forest again when it was over.

That sounds kind of like Claude's, actually. Vaguely. Wasn't his having to do with mechanical things that looked like his friends trying to beat him up?

Is he scared of machines or something? Not that he needs to be in order to not like having a dream about his friends trying to beat him up, but - I guess every part of mine just felt really personal.

Thanks. But... I'll be alright. I'm pretty sure whoever's in charge just wants to freak me out, I'm not going to let them win.

[she tugs him to the bathroom so she can fuss over his head, though.]

[he nods! and when she starts to check it out, she'll find there's definitely a bump on the side of his head, hidden by his hair.]

I'm pretty sure, yeah. It was completely dark in there, so I couldn't see what was going on at all before I got hit.

Oof, that's rough. [she gently takes a towel and starts very gently brushing dirt and debris out of his hair and making sure the bump isn't going to get any worse.] Well, I'm glad you're okay. Sorry the uh, the old RNG got you this week.
