It is a title bestowed upon us by humans, so how much it truly means is dependent on your view of such a thing.

Five swords that are considered the greatest in Japanese history, renowned as treasures for their history and antiquity... Mikazuki Munechika said to be the most beautiful, I suppose, do to the crescent moon markings upon its blade.

Yes, I believe so. I am a sword, through and through. This human-like body was summoned, but I am always Mikazuki Munechika.

Not at all! Well - I mean, I met two tree people once, but they were, like. Half human, half tree. They didn't look human and were secretly trees. Although that might be different anyways, since that was because of a curse...

What an interesting run-in with your nature spirits. Some swords are cursed, but I cannot say that our current existence is due to one.

How amusing it is, that some of you have already run into my comrades in your experiences, while others are not familiar with us in the slightest.

That is correct.

Swords such as myself were present in the 'summer camp', as well as the Prism. [why does summer camp confuse him more than the Prism] One of them even brought a friend - well, a lover, I suppose - back from one of their experiences.

We seem to be popular guests for these situations.

[he pauses, with a little frown.]

...That's probably a pretty complicated feeling.

[knowing people he cared about went through something like that while he wasn't there.]

Ha ha ha. I would say most of these situations inspire complicated feelings.

... they have, thus far, all made it home safely. I can ask for nothing more.

I mean, you could probably ask for it to not have happened to them in the first place...

... though their lives would be very different now if they did not enter these realms. I believe some of them came ever closer to their humanity, for better or for worse.

I would not design to take those experiences, or the friendship they made, away from them.
