[he pauses, trying to organize his thoughts, here. since he's already mentioned it in very vague terms:]

What happened back home... I don't want to get into the details yet, really, but - it's made it really hard to trust people when I don't know exactly how they might act when things get difficult or dangerous. But even with that, Sieghart is my friend. And the way he calmed down all of a sudden at the end there - I wonder if maybe there was something influencing him. I want to think he wouldn't have done something like that ordinarily.

[he sighs.]

Besides, it feels kind of hypocritical of me not to give him the benefit of the doubt before we know more. So - I don't really know how to feel, yet. Not until I go talk to him.

[some people have told jiji that he absolutely won't and jiji, with his face stab, still cannot entirely fathom why not. but he does not begrudge people for their choices - only feels the slightest bit of happiness to know that sieg has not been left alone.]
