I believe he may have found out through Tsurumaru-san... He asked me to introduce myself in my next letter so that he could have a reason to bring me up, so I suppose it isn't something they can speak of freely - the phone, that is.

It's been Tsurumaru every time, right? The phone calls, I mean. I wonder if it's a role, then... Did you have those in your last competition? If so, it might explain why he can't talk about it.

We did, yes, and they also couldn't speak openly about their roles until much closer to the end of things. That was my guess, as well - and Kaeya-san's, too.

Well, I can't disagree with that! I've grown very fond of everyone that I've met here, after all, even though it hasn't been all that long.

It is! Though I would have preferred for it to stay emptier here, to be honest... [He would not have but he'd feel lower than low if he ever admitted that aloud.] Everyone I've met has been so kind, too.

It's a little bit selfish, probably, but - given how things were back home, even though I wish nobody came to this situation at all, it's been really wonderful to have the chance to meet everyone.

I understand what you mean. It's a little difficult to say that it's been nothing but horrible things the whole way through...

Pretty shortly after I came here... I told someone that no matter what happened here, I think I'd always be a little bit glad that I wound up in this place, because it means I got to meet new people that I never would have otherwise. I still think that's true, even now.
