...I, for one, also wish that we hadn't lost all of our perishable foods to Qi Rong. It'll take some creativity to make a decent welcoming meal this time.

I believe he may have found out through Tsurumaru-san... He asked me to introduce myself in my next letter so that he could have a reason to bring me up, so I suppose it isn't something they can speak of freely - the phone, that is.

We did, yes, and they also couldn't speak openly about their roles until much closer to the end of things. That was my guess, as well - and Kaeya-san's, too.
